The Big Debate?

We are a small group of people who came together by the grace of God. Together we have: read, studied, and practiced the Bible.

We are not debaters, nor teachers or preachers, but we are just people who found some interesting things in our 30-40 years of study etc.. We thought we would share them with those who might care to know. Those whose minds are open to trying the “hail Mary” play. Those who, maybe, have tried everything else.

These days, many are searching for God. Soon, we pray, He will witness with someone and we will know “His people”. Until then all we can do is share information and keep trying.

“Keeping Commandments” seems to be the big debate. As we see it, keeping Commandments is a choice. God made His Law for Him. It is His Law and our choice is, do we want to live under His Law or die under our own?

You see God really does love us. He didn’t have to make sure we received His Law. He could have denied us the Life His Law gives. Love, yeah, you’ve heard it all before. But we aren’t talking about the type of love you use when you describe your favorite flavor of ice cream.

God stood upon the mount and spoke His Commandments, His Word.

Then God, with His own finger, wrote the Ten Commandments, His Word.

The He did something that will boggle your mind. He took His Word, had Him born through a woman and calls Him Jesus. Jesus is “The Word”, and that’s how The Law, God’s Law was hung on the cross.

So The Ten Commandments is Jesus, in spirit, in word, and in flesh. Our Trinity. Three, yet one. Our God is One. The Word (Commandments).

More to the heart of the matter: Our Founding Fathers saw them so important, that God’s Word was engraved in many of our capital buildings. They set our gate at Ellis Island with The Commandments. They opened schools where the Bible could be read and discussed.

This land was blessed because of the work of our Founding Fathers. But they didn’t quit there. They went on to grace us with the ultimate Constitution (God’s providence?). So if we fail now it is only ourselves to blame. To “keep” the Commandments and forsake not the law of our Mother, should be our goal of life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and to honor our Mother and Father.

So the most important choice one has in this lifetime is whether or not you will cling, keep, abide in truth, The Commandments.

Psalms 119:151 Thou art near, O Lord; and all thy commandments are truth.

Psalms 119:142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.

Let’s not argue with those who won’t keep the Commandments, after all, they, too, have a right to choose. Each in their own time, maybe we all will come to repentance, real repentance.

Amen

Muddied Waters

Many people go to religious works in order to learn what God really means. What God wants from us. They truly wish to learn, to do what God wants, but they should be sent to the one place that has crystal clear waters.

These commentaries, articles and posts just seem to either cause more confusion, due to the tendency to go back to the Greek or Hebrew, or it blatantly contradicts God’s Word. A good dictionary and the Bible would show them more than most any book or article.

Let’s take the Law of God for example. How many times have you been told, or read, that the Law has been done away with? A lot right? Now how many times have you heard that God never changes? So which is it? Has God changed His mind about the Law? Or is all of the religious material muddying the waters to the point that God’s voice is being lost in the effort to clarify it?

God gave us the Bible, our measure of faith, so it could be used and understood in our own languages. There was no need to try for any colloquialisms to explain the meanings. If God was tied to the Hebrew and Greek languages, then there is a hierarchy involved here that He sought to avoid. Jesus wouldn’t tell us not to call anyone Master, then tell us that we had to either learn another language or look up to someone who has. We trust that God knows our language when He gave us His Word.

So get a Bible and find out what God calls His Law (truth, life, light, etc.). While you’re at it, look up the word fulfill in your dictionary. Using these two tools, you can find out what God wants of us. Easy enough to work out, and you don’t really need anyone’s literature.

God Himself spoke His Word, He wrote His Word with His own finger, and then God made His Word flesh.

Finding God’s Word is hard enough in the clear waters. Like looking for a gold nugget. Remember He (God’s Word) comes in the volume of a book–Psalm 40:7.

You tell me, is Jesus among us?

The Green Pastures

Jesus said if we follow Him, He would lead us to green pastures. As our Sheppard He will feed and look after us. But what if we don’t follow Him?
God says He will give us green pastures to lay in. So which pasture are you headed for?

Will we sleep in green pastures or feed? If we do nothing, then we sleep until the time for Jesus’ return. We keep dieing. Or we could take up our cross and follow Him.

Our cross is our relationship with God, and our relationship with our fellow men. To have a relationship with God, we do what God says by “keeping His commandments”, the way we are told. We apply them to our hat or headband and a bracelet. Just like it is written. To follow Jesus, we keep His commandments in the same manner. We keep their customs.

But I am here to give you the choice I see God giving us. That is to start doing what He says, the way it is written, and ignore your preachers, or you will die. Leaving your children and grandchildren to fight for themselves in this dog eat dog world. Or we can take up the commandments and fight for our children, and live to help them.

If you don’t join the battle, then to God’s green pastures you will go and await the resurrection.

Our works, we are told are unnecessary. For Jesus did it all. And you are right. He has saved us all. And one day He will teach us and work with us, each in our own order. He has finished the work of our salvation. Life goes on. How do you want your children and grandchildren to live? As slaves to a dictator or worse? Jesus died so we don’t have to. It is a choice. To rest in Him, or work for the welfare of later generations. Remember all things are possible in Him, we could bring heaven to our children. They can have health, happiness, all the things we were to look for. Life, Liberty and happiness.

This is America, this is to be our pursuit …. Will we fail?
